Schneider Electric’s dedicated Procurement Sustainability team has taken huge steps to promote sustainability in the supply chain, with efforts to decarbonise its top 1,000 suppliers and improve the circularity of its products through the use of more recycled materials in its products and packaging. Through 580 supplier audits, the team has also rooted out thousands of instances of safety and labour/human rights non-compliance – improving the working conditions of more than 185,000 supplier employees. Judges were impressed by the scale of Schneider’s ambitions, the resources dedicated to achieving them and its impressive rate of progress.
