Using on-site renewables including solar, biogas and biomass has driven a reduction in its self-generated emissions and the company has taken a collaborative approach to buying green energy through thermal and power purchase agreements. HEINEKEN has also driven reductions in its supply chain, from using green aluminium in its packaging to promoting the use of green fertilisers and optimising logistics routes.
