Looking to eradicate the billions of toothpaste tubes that go to landfill, Colgate spent five years developing its first-of-a-kind recyclable toothpaste tube and the process to ensure it is recycled. Colgate’s collaborative approach included sharing the details of its technology with competitors to ensure widespread adoption of the tubes, which are now used for 43% of its toothpaste products.
